With the interest in the concrete reclining, multi-stable imagery is getting into my current focus. Where I used to arrange, manipulate, I become more intention-less, images are coming my way as gifts. Leonardo da Vinci advised to look at fire, clouds or decaying walls in order to connect with the deeper levels of our consciousness. b v h
Taking up photography at an early age, later adding film, Burkhard’s serious work begins in the mid 80ies, leading to an artistic career that has taken him from the US to China and recently back to India (with exhibitions at Goethe Institute, NY/Gagosian NYC/Malmoe Konstmuseet/Berliner Festspiele//Shanghai Fotofair a.o. Works in private and public collections such as the Cinematheque Francaise / Paris).
